Rachel V. Edmonds, 86, of Clayton, GA. died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in Mtn View Healthcare Center in Clayton, GA.
Born in Meridian, Mississippi December 24, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Chester and Victoria Chanceller Hailey. She was the widow of Henry W. Edmonds.
She was a cook in hospital service and was member of the Taylors Chapel Baptist Church in Rabun County.
She is survived by a brother, George Hailey and wife Cecille of Meridian, MISS, two sisters, Gerri Dees of Meridian, MISS.,and Lucile Gillis of Meridian, MISS; two grandsons, Andre and Jacques Teffault of Toccoa, GA and five great grandsons, Wyatt, Ian, Jordan, Caleb and Jacob.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Burrell officiating. Burial will be in the Blue Heights Cemetery in Mtn. City, GA.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2010.
