Peggy Shirley, 59, of Country Lane, Tiger, GA died Tuesday morning June 10, 2008 at her home in Tiger. Born February 6, 1949, she the daughter of Rose Holcomb Shirley of Clayton and the late M.J. Shirley. She was a Laboratory Technologist in Health Care and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a son, Micah Duncan of Lakemont, GA; and three daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Todd Simms of St. Louis, Missouri, Heidi and Chris Hill of Corpus Christi, Texas, Selena and Dean Bonne of Lindenwood, Illinois; her mother, Rose Holcomb Shirley of Clayton, GA, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wendell and Faye Shirley of Wiley, GA, Curtis and Bonnie Shirley of Clayton, GA, and Noma Shirley of Clayton, GA,; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lavonne Shirley Demarco of Tiger, GA, Lorrayne and Curley Ramsey of Asheville, NC; her ex-husband and friend, Raymond Duncan of Silver Creek, GA, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by a son, Frankie Higdon and by a brother, Dudley Shirley. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the lLayman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM, Monday June 16, 2008.
