Paris Weaver, 78, of Westminster, South Carolina., died Sunday January21, 2018 in Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa, Georgia.,
Born September 9, 1939 in Mt. Airy Georgia he was the son of the late Amon Young Weaver and Lillie Holbrook Weaver. He had spent most of his life in Rabun County. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of Carvers Chapel Baptist Church. Paris was retired from the Dillard House as a meat cutter after several years of service.
Paris is survived by his wife, Frances Standridge Weaver of the home. Three sons, Kelvin Weaver and David Weaver of Lavonia, Rodney Weaver of Toccoa, GA., one daughter, Cynthia Buchanan of Clayton, and adopted son, John Scroggs of Clayton. Two brothers, Claude Weaver of Toccoa, GA., and John Luther Weaver of Hollywood, GA. Twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Thursday January 25, 2018 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Coner and Rev. Marty Kilby of officiating. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery, Westminster, SC.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday January 24, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. The family is at home on Barton Creek Rd., Westminster, SC.
