Oneal Burrell, 86, of Dillard, Georgia. died Sunday June 17, 2012 in Baldwin, Georgia. He was the Widower of Rhoda Jenkins Burrell.
Born in Rabun County July 10, 1925 he was the son of the late Roosevelt Burrell, and Clyde Shope Burrell Oneal was retired as a maintenance worker on the Tallulah Falls railroad and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by one daughter, Joan Burrell Carpenter of Otto, NC. Two Granddaughters, Cathy Carpenter and Evonne Tallent, Two great-grandchildren, Caleb Tallent and Tiffany Hurst and her husband, Joey. One brother, R.L. Burrell of Franklin, NC., and a sister, Willie Kate McDowell of Otto, NC.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Jenkins.
Funeral Services will be at the Newman Chapel Baptist Church Wednesday June 20, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Alton Dendy and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Tuesday June 19, 2012 from 6 To 8 P.M. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday June 20, 2012 to lie in state.
The Family is at the home of his daughter, Joan Carpenter on Tiffany Lane, Otto, NC.
