Ola “Belle” Taylor, age 77, of Clayton, Georgia passed away on October 21, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving family as she was peacefully called home to be with her Lord.
Born on April 29, 1941 to the late Joe C. Speed and Samantha Moore Speed. She was a lifelong resident of Rabun County and a member of Peoples Baptist Church. Belle was a caring and cherished individual who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who devoted her life to her family and serving the Lord.
Belle was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie Taylor, her parents, Joe and Samantha Speed, four brothers, Paul Speed, Virgil Speed, Hoyt Speed, Joe Speed: five sisters, Barbara Williams, Janie Richardson, Genelia Sherin, Dottie Mason Cathy and Deborah Wright.
Belle is survived by two daughters, Kim Jarrard and Von Free (Kenneth) of Clayton; six grandchildren, Sheena Harmon (Caleb), Tony Galloway Jr., Brady Galloway, Alley Andrews (Brian), Kenzi Jarrard, Salem Free; five great grandchildren, Ayla, Bethany, Blake, Bree and Paisley. Also surviving are three sisters, Carrie Crane of Clayton, Luci Staton of McDonough and Kathryn Revis of Alpharetta.
The family will receive friends at Hunter Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 12 noon at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Kilby, Rev. Madison McCrackin and Rev. Ronia Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
