Naomi Welch Watts, 87, of Clayton, GA., died Wednesday February 7, 2018 in Mountain View Healthcare.
Born in Clayton,, GA., June 13, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Loney Marie Gunn Welch.
Naomi had lived all of her life in Rabun County. She was a retired nurses aide from Rabun County Hospital. She was a Baptist and attended Boggs Mountain Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clois Gordon Watts, by her parents, Grover and Loney Welch, also by her sons Jimmy “Bo” Watts, David M. Watts and Clois “Ronnie” Watts and by sisters, Frances Justus and Olean Wooten. She is survived by one son, Kenneth G. Watts (Kathy) Clayton, GA., one daughter, Betty Jo “Bootsie” Lovell (Charles) of Clayton, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 9, 2018 in the East side Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home at 2:00PM with Rev. Thomas Burrell and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park Cemetery. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the East side Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home, Friday February 9, 2018 from 12:00NOON to 2:00PM (the funeral hour).
The family is at the home of her granddaughter, Karen Lovell on Watkins Field Rd., Clayton, GA.
