Morene Delila Whitmire

Morene Delila Whitmire , 75, of Rabun Gap, GA passed away on Thursday, July 30,2020 at NE GA Medical Center.

Born October 25,1944 she was the daughter of the late Numerous Marcus and Grace Lovell Marcus. She spent her life in Rabun County and worked as a creel operator for Burlington Industries and was a member of Wolffork Christian Fellowship.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Numerous and Grace Marcus and by a brother, Harold Marcus and by three sister, Lotha Gibson, Karen Carpenter and Elgerene Westbrook. She is survived by her husband, Buddy Lewis Whitmire of the home, five sons, Tony and Tammy Whitmire, Ben and Brenda Whitmire, Tom Whitmire, Kenneth Whitmire and Earle and Shandy Whitmire all of Rabun Gap, GA, by one daughter, Ann and Tim Lee of Franklin, NC, by a brother, Hasten and Charlene Marcus of Tiger, GA and by four sisters, Carrina Carpenter, Vera Daphne Lockridge, Jean Jordan and Geraldine Whitmire all of Clayton, GA. Twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren also survive.

The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
