Mildred Vera Southards

Mildred Vera Whitmire Southards, 85, of Mt.City , Ga. died Friday night Nov.27, 2015 in the Oaks of Scenic View in Baldwin, Ga.

She was born in Rabun County July 26,1930 to Andy and Ethel Speed Whitmire . She was a Homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.

Mildred was the widow of Lawerence V. (Red) Southards. She was the last member of her immediate family.

Besides her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Southards and by three sisters , Mary Frances Dixon , Lavina Dixon and Lucy Thompson.One brother , D.L. (Slim)Whitmire and is survived by a daughter, Vickie English (Randall) of Mt.City, Georgia, one grandson Justin English (Megan) of Mt.City, Georgia ., one great grandson , Mason English of Mt.City, Georgia, one daughter -in- law , Joyce Southards Waters of Tiger,Ga. and a special niece, Lynn Beck of Clayton.

Grave side services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday Nov.30,2015 at the Blue Heights Baptist Church Cemetery with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating .

The body is at the Hunter funeral home and the family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Randall English on Southards drive, Mt.City, Georgia.

There will be no formal visitation
