Mildred McCoy Rogers 79, Mountain City , Ga.


Mildred Louise McCoy Rogers, 79, of Mtn. City, Ga., died Sunday April 5, 2009 in the Mtn. View Health Care Center.
Born in Rabun County on Mar. 3, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Ulyss McCoy and Alice Deal McCoy. She worked as a Textile worker at the Shirt Factory and was a Home maker. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by one son; Thomas Selvin Hopper , three brothers, Paul McCoy, Melvin McCoy and Ellis McCoy. She was twice married, first to the late J.S. Hopper and the second time to the late Garnett Rogers.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; James Hopper and his wife Lindsay Hopper and William Hopper and his wife Teresa all of Rabun Gap, Ga., two daughters and son-in-law, Ellen Diane Justus and her husband Hilton , Rabun Gap, Ga., Pamela S. Thrift of Mtn. City, Ga., one daughter-in-law, Barbara Hopper of Rabun Gap, Ga., two brothers, Fred McCoy of Tiger, Ga. and Jim McCoy, Rabun Gap, Ga., two sisters, Margaret Thompson and Catherine Thompson both of Arkansas , 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
The body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time. The family is at their respective residences.
