Max Southards

Max Southard, 76, of Mtn. City , Ga. died Wednesday May 10 , 2017 at his home . He was the husband of Shirley Hoffman Southards.

Born in Otto , NC. , January 6, 1941, He was the son of the late Bill and Margaret Justice Southards .

He was a Heavy Equipment Operator and was a member of the Blue Heights Baptist Church.

Max is survived by his wife Shirley Hoffman Southards of the home , by four sons , Rev. Gabriel Southards (Misty) of Dillard , Ga. , Richard Dickerson (Lori) of Vancouver,WA., Wesley Dickerson (Brenda) of Lakemont, Ga. and Shane Dickerson of Woodland, WA. Four daughtefrs , Susan Welch (Faron) Clayton,Ga. , Tracy English (Wesley) Clayton, Ga. , Billie Jean Beck , Clayton , Ga. , Kelly Reagin (Phillip) Rome,Ga. Twenty three grandchildren and thirty five great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be Friday May 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev.Gabriel Southards officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Heights Baptist Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home ,where visitation will be at the Eastside Chapel Thursday May 11,2017 from 5 to 8pm . The family is at the home on Infrantry Lane , Mtn.City,Ga.

Pallbearers will be David Adcock , Raymond Dillman , Wesley Dickerson , Mack English , Bobby Dickerson, Jake Shelton , Scott Thompson and Keldon Dixon.
