Mary Elizabeth DeHart Williams, 83, of Dillard, Georgia., died Friday night January 6, 2012 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.
Elizabeth was born February 14, 1928 in Sylva, North Carolina to the late John and Iona Hurst DeHart. She was the widow of James Edward Williams, Sr. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) having served in Rabun County Hospital, Angel’s Hospital, in Franklin, NC., Mountain View Nursing Home in Clayton and was School Nurse at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School as well as the nurse at Burlington Industries in Rabun Gap. She loved people, so for over the last ten years she had been a special greeter at the Wal-Mart Store in Clayton, GA.
Elizabeth is survived by two sons and their wives; Eddie and April Williams of Clemmons, NC., and John and Deborah Williams of Cumming, GA. One grandson, Brandon Dupont of Athens, GA. Two great grandchildren, Bailey and Blake Dupont.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday January 10, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church with Rev. Ross Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Monday night January 9, 2012 from 6 to 8 P.M. The body will be placed in the church at 12:00 noon Tuesday to lie in state till the funeral hour.
The family is at their respective residences.
Family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in her memory, to the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Dillard, GA., and /or to the Dillard United Methodist Church, Dillard, GA.
