Mary Ann Smith, 79, of Clayton, Ga. died Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Mt. View Health Care Center.
Born in Highlands, North Carolina March 4, 1931. She was the daughter of the lat R.F. and Etta Louise Neeley Dowdle. She lived in Rabun County were she worked for the Rabun County Board of Education as a Bookkeeper for years. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church for 52 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond L. Smith.
Survivors include one son, Charles Bradshaw of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, One brother William F. Dowdle , One sister Margaret E. Dowdle both of Clayton, Ga. Three grandchildren, Christopher, Rochelle, Anita. Several nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service is being held at a later date.
