Mrs. Mary Katherine Parsley, of Clayton, Georgia, formerly of Glenwood, Kentucky and Kenova, West Virgina passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024, at 6:03 AM, surrounded by her family. Mary was born to Charlies R. and Lucinda Mullins. Mary lived a life devoted to caring for her family and serving those around her. She was a dedicated banker, a loving homemaker, a supportive military wife and a nurturing mother. Her husband Donald was the love of her life and she just couldn't wait to follow him to their next life together. December would have marked 75 years of marriage.
Mary is survived by her son, Greg Parsley. Her grandchildren: granddaughters Alison and Selene Parsley, and great grandsons Jaiden Orrego, Jeremiah Tucker, Jordyn Parsley, and Julian Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlies and Lucinda Mullins, her brothers Virgil E. Rigs, Clyde C. Mullins and sisters Ruby Z. Riggs, Gemalee Riggs, Okla M. Mullins and Audrey L Mullins.
Mary had a deep love for her church and found great joy in serving the missionaries. Known for her warm hospitality, she always welcomed everyone with open arms. She was always available for a laugh and freshly baked pineapple cake. She gave of herself until her final hours knitting baby hats to be given to newborns. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Wolfcreek Baptist Church Cemetery.
