Mary Emily O'Shields

Mary Emily Beasley O’Shields, 90, of Tiger, Georgia died Thursday night August 20, 2015 in Hill Haven nursing home in Commerce, GA.

Born in Macon County, NC. March 12th, 1925, she was the daughter of the late George and Lexie Maney Beasley and had lived the greater part of her life in Tiger, GA. She was the widow of Harrison O’Shields SR. She was a homemaker and was of the baptist faith. Besides her parents, George and Lexie Beasley and her husband, Harrison O’Shields Sr, she was preceded in death by three sons, Roy Beasley, Harrison O’Shields Jr. and James O’Shields and one daughter Mary Viola Webb Leroy. She is survived by one sister, Nellie Mae Beasley Henslee of Cleveland, GA and by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday August 23, 2015 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev Thomas Burrell officiating. Burial will be in Joy Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be Saturday evening August 22nd 2015 from 6 to 8P.M.. The family is at their respective residences.
