Mary Arthur

Mary Wilbanks Arthur, 59, of Lakemont, Georgia., died Saturday December 21, 2013 in Mountain Lakes Medical Center.

She was born in Clayton April 2, 1954 to Marlor Wilbanks and Wilda Nations Wilbanks. She was retired from Lockheed-Martin Company in electronic engineering. And was of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by four brothers; Norman, Hubert, Stanford and Andy Wilbanks and by two sisters; Ethel Young and Nina Stephens and is survived by a special companion, Scottie Pace, of twenty two years. By one son, Michael Wheeler (Robin) of Loganville, GA., two brothers, Hicks Wilbanks (Joyce) of Lakemont, GA., and Bartley Wilbanks of Stephens County, GA. Five sisters, Sally Smith, Florine Wall (Jesse) and Lurlene Stephens (Jimmy) all of Lakemont., Beulah Smith and Jewell Speed (Arthur) of Clayton. Two grandchildren, Devon Wheeler and Medelyn Wheeler, and one great granddaughter, Audree Wheeler. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday December 24, 2013 at the new Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. John Gipson and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating . Burial will be in the Joy Baptist Church Cemetery, Lakemont, Georgia.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Monday evening December 23, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at their respective residences. Flowers are acceptable and memorial donations may be made, in her memory, to the charity of one’s choice.
