Martha Ann Carpenter thomas, 72, Canton, Ohio.


Martha Ann Carpenter Thomas, 72, of Canton Ohio, died Sunday February 14, 2010 at her home.
Born January 26, 1938 in Macon County, North Carolina., she was the daughter of the late John W. Carpenter and Elizabeth Guffey Carpenter.
She was raised in Scaly Mountain, NC., where she was a member of Scaly MTN. Baptist Church and played Piano at the Church. She was a 1956 graduate of Highlands High School in Highlands, NC., she moved to Canton, Ohio where she married Monroe Thomas of Franklin, NC., in 1957 and made her home there. She was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple. She loved her Church and her Church family, but most of all she loved the Lord.
Martha is survived by her husband, Monroe Thomas of the home; two sons, Ronnie Thomas of Louisville, Ohio and Randy Thomas of Canton, Ohio., a daughter, Debbie Stimer of Canton, Ohio., four granddaughters, Calle Stimer, Taylor, Madison and Regan Thomas all of Canton, Ohio., three sisters; Mary Watkins of Clayton, Ga., Minnie Hughes of Fairview, NC., and Myrtle King of Royston, Ga., two brothers; David Carpenter and James Carpenter both of Canton, Ohio., a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends also survive.
Funeral Services will be in Canton, Ohio with Reed Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
