Marler Thomas Justus, 84, of East Wolf Creek Road, Lakemont, Georgia. , died Thursday August 13, 2009 In Mountain Lakes Medical Center in Clayton.
Born in Rabun County, May 19, 1925, He was the son of the late Palmer and Laura Smith Justus. He was retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of Service. After his Naval Service, he worked as a Metal Smith and Painter in Civil Service. He was a Member of the Camp Creek Baptist Church in Lakemont. He was the last member of his immediate family.
Surviving Him is his Wife, Betty Kendrix Smith Justus of the home. , One son and his wife, Ira P. and Pam Justus of Vancouver, WA. , One daughter and her husband, Sandra and Paul Davis of Robstown, TX. One stepdaughter and son- in-law, Joyce and James Waters of Lakemont, Ga. Two grandchildren, Brittany and Heather Justus of Vancouver, WA. Several Nephews, Nieces, and Cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday August 17, 2009 at the Camp Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Mickey Woods and Rev. John Gipson Officiating, with Burial in the Church Cemetery with Military Honors by DAV Chapter 15. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday night August 16, 2009. The family is at home on East Wolf Creek RD. Lakemont, Ga.
Hunter Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
