Marie Carpenter Carter 65, Tiger, GA


Marie Carpenter Carter, 65, of Karate Lane, Tiger, GA wife of Calvin Carter died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the home of her sister.
Born September 11, 1944 in Scaly Mountain, NC she was the daughter of Doris Mason Carpenter and the late Fred L. Carpenter. She was an office Manager with Foxfire, a member of the Clayton Home Makers Club and a Charter member of the Wiley Church of God.
Survivors include her mother, Doris Mason Carpenter of Clayton; her husband, Calvin Carter of the home; one son Daniel Carter also of the home; one granddaughter Alexis Carter also of the home; one sister Dorothy Webb of Tiger, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Paulette Carpenter of Tiger, Thurman and Kathy Carpenter of Hollywood, GA. Four aunts, one uncle and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday August 21, 2010 at the chapel of the Hunter Funeral home with Rev. Jimmy Kilby officiating. Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park with Rev. Terry Carver officiating at the graveside.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Friday, August 20, 2010. The family is at the home of her sister Dorothy Webb on Syrup City Road in Tiger.
