Marian Edith Hollifield Gregory, 94, of Maple Valley Drive in the Tiger Community, died in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia., Wednesday evening February 11, 2015.
Born in Rabun County June 29, 1920 she was the daughter of the late John D. Hollifield, Sr., and Nora Keener Hollifield. She was a seamstress in the textile industry and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Tiger Presbyterian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John D. Hollifield, Jr., and by two sisters, Ruth Shedd and Catherine Scroggs, and is survived by one son, Gary Gregory (Jean) of Griffin, one daughter, Mary Ann Wofford of Tiger. Two sisters, Doris Cannon and Mildred Bramblett of Tiger, GA. Four grandchildren, Lori Green, Curt Wofford, Aaron Gregory and Adam Gregory, and nine great grandchildren, Emily, Clint, Lane, Emma, Morgan, Slade, Mattie, Jackson and Will.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday February 14, 2015 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park Tiger, Georgia.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday February 13, 2015. The family is at the home on Maple Valley Drive, Tiger, Georgia.
