Lucky Gibson

Lucky Gibson, age 77, of Hartwell, Georgia, formerly of Clayton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

He was born on June 25, 1947, in Rabun County, Georgia, and was the son of the late Johnny Gurley Gibson and Mary Ramey Gibson.

Lucky is survived by his brothers and sisters: John Junior Gibson (Frankie), Dessie Gibson, Alice Key, and Frank Gibson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Gibson; and three brothers, Horace Buck Gibson, John Grady Gibson, and Thomas Gibson.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home, with Anthony Worley speaking on behalf of the family. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Pickett Cemetery.
