Lois Parker Thompson , 82 , of Dan Crane Rd. died Tuesday November 11 , 2008 at her home . She was the widow of Tommy R. Thompson.
Born in Rabun County, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Connis and Josephine Hopper Parker. She was a Seamstress in the Textile Industry and a Homemaker. She was a member of the Persimmon Church of God .
Survivors include her son and daughter-in – law Wayne and Frances Thompson of Germanton, North Carolina ; One brother , Homer Parker , of Clayton , Ga. , One sister Ruth Coleman of Clayton , Ga. , Two granddaughters and their husbands ; Christie and John Snyder , King , North Carolina , Laura and Ricky Hughs of Tobaccoville , North Carolina ,and by two great grandchildren .
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday November 14, 2008 at the Persimmon Baptist Church with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery .
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6to8 P.M. Thursday November 13,2008 .
The body will be placed in the Church at 10’O’clock A.M.Friday November 14 , 2008 to lie in state .
The family is at the residence on Dan Crane Rd.
