Lindsey Moore 86, Tiger, Ga.


Lindsey Carl Moore, 86, of Tiger, Ga. died Monday January 31, 2011 at his residence.
He was born October 15, 1924 in Habersham County, Ga. to the late Thomas B. and Alice Holly Moore. He was a member of Tiger Baptist Church for many years and worked at Burlington Industries, he was also a charter member of the Rabun Rescue Squad and served as Chief for 30 years.
He was the widow of Della Louise Blair Moore and was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Bynum, Stella Moore, Lois Millwood, Betty Donaldson, and Winnie Mae Rogers and a granddaughter Holly Denise Moore.
Lindsey leaves behind 5 sons, Carl, Donald and Ronald Moore of Tiger, Ga. and Larry and Harry Moore of Clayton, Ga. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren , Tammy, Shane, Patti and Daryl, 5 great grandchildren, Kyle, Jack and Austin,Lindsi and Carsyn.
The body has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be held Monday February 7, 2011 at 7 P.M in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home Rev. Larry Cannon and Layman Lloyd Hunter will be officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday February 7, 2011 from 6 until the service hour
The family ask that in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Rabun County Rescue , 145 Syrup City, Tiger, Georgia. 30576
