Linda Mackin

Linda Gail Ramey Mackin, 62, of Stockbridge, Georgia., formerly of Clayton died Friday February 6, 2015 in Southern Regional Hospital in Riverdale, Georgia., after a long illness.

She was born August 26, 1952 in Seneca, South Carolina., to Louise Holt Ramey of Clayton and the late Vernice A. Ramey. She was a homemaker and in her younger years attended the Clayton Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernice A. Ramey and a brother, Terry Ramey and is survived by her husband, Steve Mackin of the home and by her mother, Louise Holt Ramey of Clayton. One son, Ernie Newton of Melbourne, Florida. One daughter, Heather Mackin of Stockbridge, GA. Two brothers, Johnny Ramey and Scott Ramey of Clayton.

Six sisters, Jean Carter of Madisonville, TN., Jeanette Webb of Clayton, GA., Barbara Webb, MT. Rest, SC., Judy Thrift of Clayton, GA., Sheryl Green of Turnerville, GA., and Cammey Carpenter of Rabun Gap, GA.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday February 10, 2015 at the Clayton Church of God with Rev. Bryan Alexander and Perry Lunsford officiating. Burial will be in the Rabun Memory Park Tiger, Georgia.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and will be taken to the Clayton Church of God where visitation will be Monday night, February 9, 2015 from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at the home of her mother, Louise Holt Ramey on Dunlap Street Clayton, Georgia.
