Lillie Jean Beck Shook, 76, of Clayton, GA. died Saturday December 4, 2010 in New Horizons North Nursing Home in Gainesville, Georgia.
Born in Anderson County, South Carolina, October 29, 1934, She was the daughter of the late Emory S. and Pearl Turner Beck. She was the wife of Darnce James Shook. They were married for 55 years. She was a homemaker and was employed with Claburne MFG. Company for some time. She was a member of the Carvers Chapel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son Ricky James Shook and by a daughter, Deborah Ann Speed, and is survived by her husband, Darnce James Shook of the home. One brother, Berry Benson Beck of Liberty, SC., two Sisters; Ella Watts of Clayton and Lucy Dockins of Iva, SC., one son-in-law, Johnny Speed of Clayton; three special granddaughters, Cindy Woods, Michelle Anderson and Amy Speed; six great grandchildren and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday December 6, 2010 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Webb officiating. Burial will be in the Pickett Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, December 5, 2010. The Family is at their respective residences.
