Lila (Mae) Jones

Lila (Mae) Jones, age 79 of Clayton , Ga. , passed away on Wednesday March 2 , 2016 at her home.

Born in Habersham County on April 10,1936 , she was a daughter of the late Fred Hubert and Inez Savage Taylor , Mrs. Jones was a long time employee of Fieldale Farms for 51 years and was a U.S.D.A inspector , and was of the baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Lewis Brady Jones , by seven brothers , Albert Jones Taylor , Robert Fred Taylor , Charles Ray Taylor , Paul Thurman Taylor , David Franklin Taylor , Frank Goss , Jr. and Eugene Goss, one sister, Linda Goss.

Survivors include her daughters , Judy Moore of Tiger, Ga. , Patsy Alley (Thurman) , Habersham County , Karon Miller(Barry) of Tiger , sisters , Betty Jean Smith , Tiger , Mary Umbehant , Clarkesville , Ruby Farmer , Cornelia , Geneva Reece of Clarkesville and Frances Free of Alto Ga. , 5 grandsons , Matthew Fisher , Evan Phillips , Keifer Phillips , Kany Miller , Barny Miller , 4 grand daughters, Tammy Moore , Patti M. Harkins , Sheri Hanson , Amy M. Hanus, 14 great grandchildren , Kyle Moore , Austin Moore , Jack Harkins , Wesley Hanson , Hannah Hanson , Maddie Hanson , Emma Fisher , Eliza Fisher , Aubree Phillips , Rilye Mae Phillips , Lila Sarabeth Phillips , Jake Hanus , Jessica Hanus , Megan Hanus and 2 great great grandchildren , Savannah Harkins and Madisyn Moore along with several nieces and nephews and cousins and leaving behind numerous friends.

Her body is at the Hunter Funeral Home and will be taken to our Eastside Chapel located at the corner of our faculty for visitation Saturday evening March 5 , 2016 from 6 to 8 pm , Funeral services will be held Sunday March 6 , 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Joe McCrackin and Rev. Thomas Burrell conducting the service , Pallbearers will be nephews and grand sons , Burial will be in the Tiger Cemetery.
