Leon Vester Eller, 82, Clayton, Ga.


Leon Vester Eller, 82, of West Wildcat Road, Clarkesville, Ga. (Rabun County) Died Friday October 2, 2009 in North East Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
Born in Rabun County July 16, 1927, he was the son of the late Leonard J. and Vassie Moreland Eller. He was the manager of the Marina at Laprades Camp on Lake Burton for many years. He was a US Navy Veteran of WW-2 and attended the Baptist Church. He was a member of Rabun Gap Masonic Lodge # 265 F and AM of Clayton where he has served as Master.
He was the last member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by two brothers J.D. and Francis Eller and is survived by his wife, Louise Cleveland Eller of the home. Sixteen nephews and nieces including, nephews Mike and Joe Eller, and nieces Debbie and Sandy.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday October 5, 2009 at the Providence Baptist Church in Habersham County with a Masonic Service. Rev. Don Drawdy and Layman Lloyd Hunter will officiate. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday October 4, 2009. The family asks that in lieu of flowers Memorial Donations be made to the Wildcat Volunteer Fire Dept, 5228 Hwy. 197 N. Clarkesville, Ga. 30523 and / or the Masonic Home Endowment Fund, P.O. Box 4665, Macon, Ga. 31208-4665.
