Kenneth Melvin Grizzle, 60, of Baldwin, Georgia., died Saturday August 9, 2014 in Habersham County Medical Center.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia., June 29, 1954, he was the son of the late J.T. and Mary Rylee Grizzle. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam, a mason, a member of world association of benchers and dead lifters organization, a Gideon in the Lawrenceville camp and a member of the Cornelia United Methodist Church. Mr. Grizzle was a construction/building block engineer in the building industry.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Jane Williams Grizzle of the home. One son Scott Caleb Grizzle (Soji)., two daughters, Kelly Michelle Williams (Tim) of Gainesville, GA., and Deena Renee Haney (Timothy) of Waleska, GA. One sister, Melba Spanks (Steve) of Lawrenceville, GA. Six grandchildren, Jordan, Makayla, Brooks, Morgan, Aiden and Aleyna.
Funeral Services will be Monday August 11, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Page and Rev. Melvin Chandler officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Sunday August 10, 2014 from 3 to 6 P.M. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 P.M. Monday August 11, 2014 to lie in state. The Family is at the home of Mike Whitley on Benny Mountain Road, Clayton, Georgia.
