Karron Carpenter

Karron Clarene Marcus Carpenter, 72, of Chatham, Lane Clayton, Georgia., died Tuesday December 18, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Robert Lee Carpenter.
Born in Tiger, Georgia., March 31, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Numerous and Grace Lovell Marcus. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Carpenter of Clayton, GA., Three daughters,Clarene Carpenter McCall of Franklin, NC., Wanda and her husband Glenn Holt of Rabun Gap, GA., and Judy Pollard of Clayton, GA., One brother, Hastel Marcus of Tiger, GA. Six sisters, Lotha Gipson of Lakemont, GA., Delilah Whitmire of Rabun Gap, GA., Daphene Lockridge of Clarkesville, GA., Carrina Carpenter of Rabun Gap, GA., Jean Jordan of Clayton, GA., and Geraldine Whitmire of Tiger, GA. Eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and several nieces nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be Friday December 21, 2012 11:00 A.M. at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Scaly Mountain Methodist Cemetery, Scaly Mountain, North Carolina.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Thursday December 20, 2012 from 6 to 8 P.M. The family is at her home on Chatham Lane in the Five Points Community.
