Judith Babcock Hurley, 66, of Chiggerchaw Ridge Road, RT, Clarkesville, Georgia (Rabun County) died Thursday evening December 22, 2011 at her home.
Born in Richmond, Virginia, July 31, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Melba Rigdon Babcock. She was retired as a registered nurse (RN.)
She was preceded in death by her parents and by a sister; Sandra Lynn Babcock Moore, and is survived by her husband; Michael B. Hurley of the home, by three sons, Richard Simpson and his wife, Carol Mainline of Atlanta, GA., Mike Hurley of Cumming, GA., and Brian Hurley of Oxford, GA. One daughter, Mary Beth Thomas of Maysville, GA. One brother, David Babcock and his wife, Caroline of Valdosta, GA. A sister, Jill Babcock-Penn and her husband Alfred of Douglas, GA. Seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Also surviving is C. Everett Moore of Jacksonville, FL., widower of Sandra Lynn Babcock Moore.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be at a later date.
