John (Johnny, Jonboi) Louis Holbrook, 35 of Lakemont, Georgia, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017.
Born in Goldsboro, NC at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, he is the son of Bobby and Shirley Hoglen Key of Lakemont, Georgia and the late John E. Holbrook. In addition to his father he was predceded in death by his maternal grandfather RL Hoglen and his paternal grandparents Larken and Betty Giles Holbrook.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Jaime (Eduardo) Espinel of Alpharetta, Georgia, Angela Key of Burlington, NC, maternal grandmother Mildred Hoglen of Franklin, NC, niece Kenzie Worley, nephews Luke Espinel and Mikel Worley. Aunt Sheila (Larry) Conley of Franklin, NC, Uncle Jeff (Regina) Holbrook of Mountain City, Georgia and a number of cousins. A special friend Lisa Daniti, Ashlynn, Jayden, Madilynn and his best friend ever, his blue pit, Dante.
He was a member of Clayton Baptist Church and he was an avid Atlanta Falcon fan along with a Georgia Bulldog, NC Tarheels and Atlanta Hawks and the Atlanta Braves. He loved God and he loved his sports.
Honorary Pallbears are Toby Worley, Mikel Worley, Joshua Holbrook, Jimmie Wall, Anthony Laster, Patrick Carter, Brandon Coalley and Michael McKay.
Services will be Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 4 pm Clayton Baptist Church with visitation from 2 to 4 there also.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
