John H Bramblett 86, Clayton Ga


John H. Bramblett, age 86, of Thompson St in Tiger, Ga., died Saturday evening, Aug 16, 2008 at Mountain View Health Care, Clayton, Ga. He was born in Rabun County, Jan 11, 1922. He was the son of the late Stanford and Nora Baker Bramblett.
He was retired from the AID Corporation as an inspector in Aero-Space manufacturing. He was a US Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Tiger Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and Church Treasurer.
He was married to Mildred Hollifield for 66 years. He was preceded in death by a son, John Stanley Bramblett, and by a brother, J.C. Bramblett. He is survived by his wife Mildred Hollifield Bramblett of the home. One son and daughter-in-law , Byron and Josephine Bramblett of Tiger, GA. One daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Crawford Ramey of Clayton, Ga. Three grandchildren, Tristan Bramblett, Jenni Ramey and Jill Briggs. Two great-grandchildren, Joseph Bramblett and Jessica Mitchell. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning Aug, 18, 2008 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Cannon and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Powell Gap Cemetery in the Bridge Creek Community, Route 1, Tiger, Ga. The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Sunday evening, Aug 17, 2008. Family is at the home of his daughter and son in law, Maureen and Crawford Ramey in the Persimmon Community.
