Joan Crawford Veal, 67, of Bradford Road, Clayton, Georgia., died Friday January 13, 2012 at her residence.
Born in Rabun County December 25, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Mart and Eva English Crawford. She was a member of the Tiger United Methodist Church. She was a teacher’s aid in the Rabun County School System for many years, and operated a jewelry store in Clayton for fifteen plus years.
Survivors are three sons; Marty and his wife, Christie, Matthew and Mitchell Veal all of Clayton. Two brothers, Mack Crawford and Broderick Crawford both of Clayton. Two sisters, Beanie Ramey of Clayton and Carolyn Patterson of Tiger. One grandson, Tanner Veal. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday January 17, 2012 at the Tiger United Methodist Church with Rev. James E. Turpen officiating. Burial will follow in the Tiger Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends Monday evening January 16, 2012 from 6 to 8 P.M.
The family is at the home on Bradford Road, Clayton.
Family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in her memory, to the Tiger United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 467, Tiger, GA. 30576
