Jo Anne Rickman Dickerson, 83, of Carrollton Georgia died Wednesday June 22, 2011, in Tanner Medical Center in Carrolton, Georgia. She was the wife of R.S.Dickerson of Carrollton.
Born in Rabun Gap, Georgia January 17, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Jesse N. Rickman and Maude Whitmire Rickman. She was retired as a teacher’s aide in the Carroll County School System and was a member of the Clayton Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother Jesse Rickman and is survived by her husband R.S. Dickerson of the home; a son Robert S. Dickerson, Jr. of Carrollton, a daughter, Gloria Moore and her husband Mike, of Tifton, GA., two brothers, Joe and Claude Rickman of Rabun Gap, GA., seven sisters, Mary Story and Elizabeth Dixon of Clayton, Sue Jacoby of Lake City, FL., Linda Dinkins and Brenda Cook of Rabun Gap, GA., Ruth Dunn of Milledgeville, GA., and Nancy Burrell of Cornelia, GA. Four grandchildren, Brad Dickerson, Jenny Ross, Amy Green and Andrew Moore.
Graveside Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday June 25, 2011 at the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Layman Lloyd Hunter.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and the family is at their respective residences.
There will not be a formal visitation but people may come by the funeral home between noon Friday June 24, 2011 and noon Saturday June 25, 2011 and sign the guest book.
