J.M. Rogers

J.M. Rogers 82, of Clayton, Georgia., died on Tuesday April 30th 2019 at his favorite place, his garden.

J.M. was born in Rabun County on March 14th 1937. He was the son of the late Juanita Justus Hopper and was raised by the late Mary and Isaac Justus of Rabun County. He lived his entire wonderful life on wolfcreek road. He was a devoted employee of Patterson Pump, where he made many life long friends. JM enjoyed watching the Braves play, working in the garden& spending time with his loving family & friends and neighbors.

J.M. is preceded in death by his wife Carlene Bleckley Rogers, sisters, Ann & Susie Hopper brothers, Jack and Robert Hopper. He is survived by a daughter Karen Brabson (Daniel) of Clayton, a son, Isaac Rogers of Clayton, GA., a sister, Margaret Hopper of Atlanta. Two grandchildren, Josie & Haden Brabson of Clayton and many nieces and nephews. He was also known by many as “ Mr. M” or “Uncle M”.

Funeral Services will be Saturday May 4, 2019 at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Krivsky officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his loving wife at the Rogers Family Cemetery Clayton, Georgia.

The body is at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home where Visitation will be Saturday May 4, 2019 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. (the service hour). The family is at the residence Clayton, GA.
