Jewell Faye York, 88, of Kennesaw, Georgia (formerly of Clayton, Georgia.) died Thursday May 19, 2011 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia.
Born April 12, 1923 in Rabun County, she was the daughter of the late Clint and Eula Eller York. She was a retired accountant with Lockheed Corporation and was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by a son, Knox Clinton York; by a brother, Chester York and by a sister Lucille Williams. And is survived by a brother, Dutch York of Canton, GA., and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 11: 00 A.M. Saturday May 21, 2011, at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Persimmon Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 To 8 P.M. (Tonight) Friday May 20, 2011.
The family is at the home of her niece, Wanda York Hutchison on Withham Point, Lakemount Georgia.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
