Jessie M. Maynard 90, Clayton, GA


Jessie Mae Justus Maynard, 90, of Clayton, GA, widow of Glenn Maynard, died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Mountain Lakes Medical Center.
Born February 19, 1920 in Rabun County she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Lela Dickerson Justus. She was a retired Occupational Therapist, a former member of the Black Mountain Eastern Star, a WW II U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Clayton Baptist Church.
Three brothers, Noel, Neil and Bruce Justus, preceded Mrs. Maynard in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Smith (Steven) of Clayton, GA; one son, Steven Riley Maynard (Linda) of Leicester, NC; one sister, Thelma “Tee” Justus of Clayton, GA.; five grandchildren, Jessica, Zachary, Rachel, Leah, Samuel.
The body has been cremated and a memorial services will be held at 7 PM Thursday December 30, 2011 in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. David Rogers officiating.
The family is at their respective residences and will receive friends at Hunter Funeral Home from 6 PM until 7 PM Thursday December 30, 2010 prior to the service at 7:00 P.M.
