Jesse M. Welborn, 87, Clayton, Ga.


Jesse M. Welborn 87, of Tiger and affectionately known as “Paw”, died Tuesday November 24, 2009 in Mountain View Health Care Center in Clayton Ga.
Born in Rabun County July 23, 1922 he was the son of the late Wiley and Bertha Coleman Welborn. He was a machinist and parts inspector with the A.I.D. Corporation for 25 years. He was a musician and an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Tiger United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Welborn and he is survived by his wife Dorothy Goss Welborn of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Elizabeth Brown of Tiger. One daughter, Sherrie Crone of Clayton, one sister, Faye Welborn of Clayton and by six grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the Hunter Funeral Home Chapel Friday November 27, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Larry Cannon and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Tiger, Georgia.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 9 pm Thursday night November 26, 2009.
The family is at the their respective residences.
