J.C. Maney, 68, Clayton, Georgia.


J.C. Maney, 68, of Strawberry Lane, Tiger, Georgia., died Friday December 16, 2011 at his residence.
Born December 25, 1942 in Hayesville, North Carolina, He was the son of the late Don and Fannie Mae Bingham Maney. He was the husband of Peggy Patton Maney. He was retired from golf course maintenance and was of Church of God Faith.
Mr. Maney Was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Maney and Bertha Knight and by a brother, Buddy Maney and by a granddaughter, Allie Renea Henry. He is survived by his wife Peggy Patton Maney of the home; two sons, Jeffrey Maney and Gregory Maney both of Clayton, GA; two daughters, Greta Maney of Bryson City, North NC., and Lizzie Cunningham of Tiger, GA. Three brothers; Bill Maney of Morgan NC., Dee Maney of Cleveland, GA., and Jerry Maney of Charlotte, NC. Two sisters; Kay Church and Judy Chastain both of Clayton, GA. Seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday December 19, 2011 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. J.C. Quilliams and Rev. Scott Woodard officiating. Rev. Gene Collins will conduct the graveside service at Pickett Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter where family will receive friends Sunday evening December 18, 2011 from 6 to 8 P.M.
The Family is at the home on Strawberry Lane, Tiger, Georgia.
