Janice Guffie Watts 54, Clayton,Ga.
Janice Guffie Watts, 54, of Clayton, wife of Bill Watts, died Monday, April 13, 2009 at her residence.
Born September 3, 1954 in Gaston County, North Carolia she was a daughter of Junior Guffie and the late Audrey Mae Littrell Guffie. She was a Machine Technician in the textile Industry, attended NGTC where she was on the Presidents List, a member of PBL, and the National Honor Society, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors in addition to her husband Bill Watts include a daughter; Audrey Louise Lowery and her partner Hollie Watts, five step-sons; Keith, Willie Samuel, Hank, and James. Two step-daughters; Rhonda and Sonya 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 2 PM from the Rocky Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Oliver Rice and Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home on Hershey Lane, in Clayton and will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Hunter Funeral Home.
The body will be placed in the church at 1 PM on Thursday to lie in state until the funeral hour.
