Janice Vanburen

Janice VanBuren, 80, of Clayton, GA passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Mountain Lakes Medical Center.

Born September 13, 1940 in Lake Toxaway, NC she was the daughter of the late Dock Leo Banther and Betha Patterson Banther . She spent most of her life in Rabun County. She worked as a waitress at various restaurants and was a member of the Blue Heights Baptist Church for many years.

In addition to her parents, Dock and Betha Banther, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Russ VanBuren, a son Mark VanBuren, three brothers, Lawrence Banther, Curtis Banther and Kenneth Banther, and by three sisters, Leo Owen, Ruby Chapman and Annie Keller. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
