James Alan Owens, 70, Clayton, Ga.


James Alan Owens, 70 of Hwy 28, N. in the Satolah Community, Rt. 1, Clayton died January 13, 2010 in Gainesville, Ga.
Born in Rabun County, October 14, 1939, he was the son of Louise Nix Owens of Clayton and the late Doyle H. Owens. He was a landscaper and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother Stephen Owens and is survived by his mother, Louise Nix Owens of Clayton. Two brothers, Gene Owens of Franklin, NC., and Wayne Owens of Myrtle Beach, SC. One sister, Norma Wilborn, Clayton, Ga.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday January 15, 2010 at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends (Tonight) January 14, 2010. The body will be placed in the Church at 1:00 P.M. Friday January 15, 2010, to lie in state. The family is at the home on Hwy 28, N. Clayton, Ga.
