James Nation

James R. Nation, Sr., 65, of Riverbend Road., Demorest, GA., died Wednesday January 4, 2017 at his residence.

Born in Clarkesville, Georgia, January 10, 1951, he was the son of the late Arthur and Louise Nelms Nation. He was a self-employed auto mechanic and was employed by Fieldale Farms for a number of years. He was a Baptist by Faith.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Louise Nelms Nation (Collins) and step father, Harrison Collins and by a step brother, Ray Collins and is survived by a daughter, Windy Nation of McAdville, NC., two sons, James R. Nation, Jr. of Mt. Airy, GA. and Nathan Nation of Demorest, GA., one special niece Ellen McMillian of Clarkesville, GA. and seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00pm Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Fairfield Baptist Church with Rev. Milton Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Nation Family Cemetery in Demorest.
Visitation will be at the Fairfield Baptist Church on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm (the funeral hour.)
