James (Jimmy) Hines 74, Clayton , Ga.


James (Jimmy) Edward Hines , 74 , of Hines drive , Clayton , Ga. died Friday Nov.21,2008 peacefully at his home , Following a brief illness with family and friends at his side .
Born December 22 , 1933 in Athens , Ga . He was the son of the late Frances Xavier Hines and Effie Burton Hines Lord. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents , by his wife ; Margaret McClain West Hines and a brother , Pete Hines . He was retired from Burlington Ind. He served as a member of the Armed Services after WWII. He was a Past Master of Rabun Gap Masonic Lodge # 265 .
He is survived by a son Alan West , LaGrange KY ; grandchildren , Tommy and Lisa West of Comer , Ga. ; Heath and April West of Buford , GA . 5 great grandchildren , Makayla , Chase , Caroline , Jeremiah , and Joel West , Two sisters Dot Barrett of Winterville , Ga. , Minnie Lou Barrett of Gainesville , Ga. , Two brothers , Bryan and Forrest Hines of Winterville , Ga. , several nieces and nephews also survive .
Funeral Services are planned for Monday November 24,2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cannon officiating .
Burial will be in the Rabun Memory Park
The body is at the Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends on Sunday November 23, 2008 from 6 to 8 P.M.
The family is at the home on Hines Rd. in Clayton , Ga.
