James O. Henry, 69, Mountain City, Georgia.


James O. Henry, 69, of Mountain City, GA died Monday, April 30, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Henry was born January 16,1943 in Scaly Mountain, NC and had lived most of his life in Rabun County. He was a son of the late Oliver Raymond and Ruby Carpenter Henry. He was an Electrician and Plumber by trade and a member of the North Clayton Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Justice Henry; a granddaughter, Allie Renee Henry, and two brothers, Kenneth and Fred Henry.
Survivors include a son, Dan Henry of Mountain City, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Henry Walters and Andy Walters of Hartwell, GA; two brothers, Paul Henry of Lanett, AL, William Tim and Rhonda Henry of Hartwell, GA; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Lucille and John Blanton of Goose Creek, SC, Martha Nichols of Tamassee, SC, Jane and Wallace McCall of West Union, SC, Louise and Terry Phillips of Clayton, GA, Linda and Haskel Hopkins of Lakemont, GA.; three grand children, Matthew Henry and Fiance Kendal Shirley, and Alex and Adam Walters. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the North Clayton Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Conner and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Wright Cemetery in Otto, NC.
The body is at Hunter Funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2012. The family is at the home on Hunt Avenue in Mountain City.
