JAMES C. (Jimmy) Blair, 67, of Cleveland, Georgia., formerly of Rabun County, died Wednesday July 31, 2013 in North East Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Rabun County January 18, 1946, he was the son of the late Luther and Harriett Crump Blair. He was the husband of Carolyn Stewart Blair. Jim was Asst. Manager of Quality Control Burlington Industries / Fruit of the Loom in Rabun Gap, Georgia. He was a member of New and Living Way Church in Mt. Airy, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by brothers, George Blair and Ralph Blair and by sisters, Mildred Hancock and Maude Nicholson and is survived by his wife, Carolyn Stewart Blair of the home; two daughters and husbands, Pam and Justin Jackson of Wiley, GA., and Melissa and James Keener of Franklin, NC. One granddaughter, Emily Ann Southard of Franklin, NC. One brother, Frank Blair of Danielsville, GA., and one sister, Betty Grubb of Jackson, Tennessee and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday morning August 4, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Garroute officiating. Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park, Tiger, Georgia.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday August 3, 2013. The Family is at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Justin Jackson on Worley Creek Road, Wiley, GA.
Family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations, in his honor, be made to New and Living Way Church, 767 Ivy Hills Circle, MT. Airy, GA. 30563.
