Jacqueline S. (Jackie) Wilson, 82, of Clayton, Georgia died Friday January 28, 2011 at her residence.
Born in Arcadia, Florida October 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Theodora Reynolds Slomer. She had lived most of her life in Melbourne, Florida but had lived in Rabun County for the past few years. She was a secretary for city government and for hospitals, along with being a homemaker. She was a member of the Battle Branch Baptist Church
She was twice married; first to the late Calvin Cook and later to the late Stanley Wilson, and is survived by one son, Steve Cook of Melbourne, FL., two daughters; Susan Crowder of Hudson, FL., and Barbara Wilbanks of Tiger, GA., one brother Jim Phelps of Melbourne, FL., a special companion J.R. Lunsford of Clayton, GA., seven grandchildren, Lisa Conner, Michael Crowder, Timothy Cook, Billy Cook, Tabitha Powers, Nanette Ragusin and Darleen Buchanan. A great grandson, Michael Powers, reared in the home and 12 other great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Sunday January 30, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev Madison McCrackin officiating. Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M.Saturday January 29. The body will be placed in the Church at 1:00 P.M. Sunday January 30, 2011 to lie in state.
The family is at the home on Sandy Ford Road, in the Warwoman community, Clayton, GA.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
