Jack L Pruitt

Jack L. Pruitt, 79, of Mountain City, GA passed away on December 22, 2020, at his home.

Born in Macon County, NC on January 8, 1941, he was the son of the late Frank Pruitt and Rena Seagle. He was a self-employed carpenter, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was of the Methodist faith.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rena Pruitt, his step-father Robert Henson, his sister Fenes Thomas, and his grandson Jason Kilby.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Allen Pruitt of the home; two sons: Mark and Tina Pruitt of Mtn. City, GA; and Matt and Amy Pruitt of Tiger, GA. He is also survived by three granddaughters, Cindy and Brad Turpin of Tiger, GA; Maegan and Josh Holt of Tiger, GA; and Ashlynn Blackwell of Tiger, GA. Five great-grandchildren also survive.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and will be taken to McCurry Cemetery for a graveside service on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Dr. Karen Frank officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Mountain City United Methodist Church (PO Box 305, Mtn. City, GA 30562) or to Pruitt Hospice (715 Queen City Pkwy, Gainesville, GA 30501).

The family is at the home on Rogers Cove Lane in Mountain City.
