J. C. Hooper 71, Clarkesville, GA


J. C. Hooper, 71, of Clarkesville, GA died Saturday July 23, 2011 at the Habersham County Medical Center in Demorest, GA. He was the husband of Doris Allen Hooper.
Born in Dahlonega, GA, he was the son of the late Ithmer Corbin Hooper and Lillie Wall Hooper. He was a retired textile employee and was a US Navy Veteran and a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, Doris Allen Hooper, he is survived by a son, Josh Hooper and his wife, Christin of Hoschton, GA. A brother, James Rogers and his wife MaeBeth of Snellville, GA. A sister, Martha Perry and her husband, Steve of Decatur, GA. Four grandchildren, Addison and Landon Hooper and twins, Ansley and Chase Hooper. He was preceded in death by three brothers Chase, Coy and Boyd Hooper and by three sisters, Gertha Chewing, Pearl Hooper and Essie Mae Hooper.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at Cool Springs United Methodist Church in Habersham County, GA., Tuesday July 26, 2011 at 2:00 PM and will be conducted by Rev. Austin Kelley.
