Iris Holt Patterson , 84, of Scott’s Creek Lane, Clayton, Georgia died Sunday September 11, 2011 in Mountain View Health Care.
Born in Rabun County April 8, 1927, She was the daughter of the late John M. and Ethel Hunnicutt Holt. She was a homemaker and was a member of MT. Calvary Baptist Church. She was a frequent visitor of the senior center in Tiger.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elise Keener and Dorothy Forrester; by four brothers, Fred, Jim, Bill and Morris Holt. And is survived by daughters, Donna Presley and her husband, Tony of Toccoa, GA., and Hope Patterson of AlamoGordo, New Mexico., By one brother, Donnie Holt of MT. City, Georgia. By three sisters; Janie Dotson and Susie Phillips both of Greenville, SC. and Mildred Earwood of Columbia, SC. One grandson, Dallas Patterson and one great granddaughter, Kapua Patterson. Several nephews, nieces and cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday September 14, 2011 at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Joe Nichols and Rev. Doyle Patterson officating. Burial will be in Rabun Memory Park in Tiger, Georgia.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday September 13, 2011.
The family is at their respective residences.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made, in her memory, to Gideon’s International, P.O. Box 142, Clayton, GA. 30525.
