Irene Ramey Crone, 84, of Rogers Street, Clayton, GA., died Tuesday night May 24, 2011 at her residence.
Born in Rabun County, GA., May 3, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mona Wooten Ramey. She was the widow of Lawrence W. Crone, Jr.
Mrs. Crone was a homemaker and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Mountain City, Ga.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Larry Reese Crone, Jr. and a great granddaughter, Avril Crone and also two brothers, James (Babe) Ramey and Dock Ramey and a sister, Mary Magdalene Gibson.
She is survived by four sons Larry Crone and Gary Crone of Clayton, GA, and William Crone of Atlanta and Terry Eugene Crone of Toccoa, GA. Three daughters; Patricia Ann Watts, Genevieve Bleckley and Loretta C. Hamby all of Clayton, GA. Two sisters, Wylene R. Wall of Otto, NC. and Annie Mae Ramey Rogers of Clayton, GA. Twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Mountain City, Georgia, Saturday May 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Jimmy Wall conducting the service.
Burial will be in the Timpson Cemetery.
The body is at Hunter Funeral Home where family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Friday night, May 27, 2011. The family is at the home of her granddaughter and grandson, Amanda and Bobby Watts on Legendary Lane in the Wolffork Community.
